Where are you based?
Baltimore, Maryland.

How long have you been making music?
For about 3 years.

What genre would you consider your music?
I would consider my music to be Hip Hop leaning with elements of Neo Soul.

What inspired you to pursue music?
I initially started making music as a coping mechanism for the insecurity of my voice. I used to hate my voice growing up because it changed so rapidly and I didn’t know how to accept it. I found this wild idea of recording music to face it firsthand and I was sure the songs would be locked in a vault that only I knew of. Slowly I eased those around me to find out about the music and was surprised to hear the level of support I received making it.

Who are your biggest musical influences?
Lupe Fiasco, A Tribe Called Quest, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak and Robert Glasper.

Are you signed to a label or are you independent?
Independent.

What have been the biggest challenges in your career?
I think the biggest challenge was being able to market my music. As an indie artist, I never knew how much money would be involved in order to promote the music made and finding the audience for it.

How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I’ve released 2 albums (Midnight Season & Iridescent), about 5 loose singles and a B-Sides EP called The Duology Sessions.

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My last 2 albums were a part of a loose duology project. Where the first album Midnight Season was the more introspective and self-reflective side of myself, Iridescent is the looser and more energized representation of myself and my personal influences.

Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Right now, I am using the time to let some of the albums I’ve created breathe and find the audiences they deserve.
